According to the "Recommendations on University Qualifications for Health Care" issued by the Science Council in 2012, the academisation of Dental Hygienist (B. Sc.) is another important building block in the healthcare system of today and tomorrow: "This is all the more true as prevention services are becoming increasingly important in view of increased teeth preservation and the increasing prevalence of periodontal diseases and their interactions with other, especially infectious diseases. Dental hygienists in particular are increasingly taking on complex tasks in dental prevention and therapy,” says the Science Council.
