Annotation
The Environmental Engineering and Regenerative Energies degree course teaches you scientific and technical foundations and uses interdisciplinary approaches to find innovative solutions for the efficient purification of waste water and exhaust gases, analysis methods for monitoring pollutants, the effective use of raw materials, to develop the optimisation of recycling processes and the disposal of critical residues. The utilisation of renewable energy sources also plays an important role. The focus is on the construction and functioning of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, water turbines, wind power and biogas systems, as well as principles such as combined heat and power and storage, and storage or conversion of electrical, mechanical and thermal energy. As part of the degree course, you will also gain knowledge in order to better understand and critically examine the relationships between global energy policy, the global demand and consumption structures for resources and the environmental impacts associated with technical processes.
