Digitalisation is finding its way into all areas of life. That includes health care. Can digital information make you healthy? For this to happen, information about the patient, his or her state of health and medical knowledge must be delivered to the medical staff in the right form in a timely manner. To make this possible, students need to know the healthcare system and information processing done there. During their studies, students learn to shape digitalisation in healthcare for the benefit of patients. For example, they learn about typical information processing systems and develop the ability to plan and develop such systems.
