Annotation
Digital progress is fundamentally changing the way we live and generate wealth. This also applies to the foundations of our value creation processes, in which data becomes a central raw material and data-based business models develop into a basis for all branches of industry. Above all, the continuous flow of data decides on the use of new trends, innovations and research opportunities. The use and evaluation of data and data streams are the drivers of progress in all sectors - be it with regard to industry, mobility, energy, education or healthcare. More and more forms of data are available to us: In industry - through consistent monitoring and conversion of processes, in research - through new evaluation methods and modern observation of phenomena and developments, but also in private life, where developments such as smart homes become the norm. The targeted storage and evaluation of this data has great value creation potential for companies. Even today, anonymised data evaluations are used to treat serious diseases such as cancer more precisely and to give people better, individual chances of recovery. This requires corresponding data stocks that can be made accessible to an evaluation for the common good and are evaluated by new analysis methods such as the rapidly developing data sciences.
