Target group

Graduates are the main target groupfrom the following subjects: Classical Studies, History (subject bachelor and teaching degree), Classical Archaeology and Classical Philologies (subject bachelor and teaching degree). Of course, lateral entrants from other courses of study are also welcome, provided that the admission requirements are met. Due to the interdisciplinary orientation and the anchoring in the field of Classical Studies, the programme is also attractive for international students, because in the English-speaking world Classical Studies are studied together as Classics.

- Certificate of academic degree /equivalent academic degree with a standard period of study of at least 6 semesters (180 credit points) or comparable scope; in Ancient History or a related subject from the fields of Classical Ancient Studies or History - Grade 2.50 (“good” or better) - History at least 60 credit points, including Ancient History at least 25 credit points or Ancient Studies/Classical Studies at least 90 credit points, including Ancient History at least 35 credit points -Latinum (can be completed later) -Graecum (can be completed later) -English at level B2 of European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent proof - German at level DSH-2 or comparable (if first academic degree or higher education entrance qualification is not acquired at a German-speaking institution) - Curriculum Vitae If there is no degree certificate yet: Proof of achievements of at least 150 credit points with provisional overall grade Application deadline: 15.1. + 15.6.
