Annotation
Students who have the aim of attaining the "Teaching Qualification for Grammar Schools" course complete their studies in a tiered course structure. Firstly, the dual Bachelor's degree course at the University of Osnabrück must be completed or proof provided of an equivalent degree obtained at another university in the appropriate subject, or in a closely related subject with a corresponding teacher-training specialisation. The Master's degree course "Teaching Qualification (grammar school-level)", (oriented towards the professional field of schools) builds onto this; in general, a new application is required. A Master's degree is the prerequisite for admission to postgraduate civil service. In addition to the two subjects already selected in the Bachelor's degree course, Italian can only be studied as a third subject within the Master's extension course 'Extension subject teacher training at grammar schools'.
Admission requirements
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in both subjects or in closely related subjects with a relevant teacher training-specific focus. In addition, proof of at least 28 credit points in a teacher training-related field of professionalisation, a 5-week school work placement, a 4-week company or social work placement and a sufficient command of German. There are also subject-related admission requirements in accordance with appendix 2 of the admission regulations.
