Target group
Graduates of a specialised relevant Bachelor's degree or a comparable German or international professionally qualifying degree. In the completed Bachelor's programme in economics or social science or at least in an equivalent German or foreign university degree, basic economic knowledge must have been acquired and at least 90 credit points in economics subjects and related auxiliary sciences that teach methodological skills (e.g., mathematics for economists, statistics).
Annotation
The Master in Economics and Institutions/Economics prepares systematically for a professional practice as an economist. All important subject areas of micro- and macroeconomics, economic policy and institutional economics are the subject of courses. Unique in Germany so far is the systematic consideration of the economic analysis of institutions for the national economy. Through a mixture of statistical foundations and practical economic applications, students acquire important professional skills. Research focuses - Institutional Economics - Economic Specialisations: - Economic Policy or - Money, Accounting, and Finance.
