Annotation
The aim of the Master's degree is to provide a research-oriented education that deepens and expands the scientific competencies and skills in the field of cognitive and integrative systems neuroscience acquired during a Bachelor's degree in the natural sciences or another degree with neuroscientific components. The course builds on a comprehensive introduction to neuroscientific basics in the 1st and 2nd semesters, followed by an orientation and qualification phase in the 3rd and 4th semesters. In parallel, key qualifications are acquired in methods courses. Due to the participation of working groups from the fields of biology, German and art studies, physics, psychology and medicine, the spectrum of content is very broad. Key focus The degree course focuses on systemic aspects of neuroscience and provides training in neural network analysis, neurophysiology, neuroethology, neurophysics, brain imaging, neurolinguistics, cognitive, affective, and social neuroscience. Objectives The degree course qualifies students for basic scientific research in public and private research institutions, applied research and development in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industry, clinical research and other activities with a systems neuroscience and cognitive neuroscience orientation. Furthermore, the degree course enables students to obtain a doctorate.
