Annotation
The degree programme teaches concepts, methods and applications of modern mathematics as well as in-depth knowledge of essential mathematical sub-disciplines. Skills such as structured logical thinking, abstraction and creativity are promoted and introduced into the effective use of computers and mathematical software. Students have the opportunity to supplement these skills with an applied subject such as computer science, physics or economics and also set an individual focus within their studies by choosing a field of study. This combination of knowledge and skills enables graduates to work on tasks from very different areas using mathematical methods. Possible branches of study: - Mathematics - Computer Mathematics - Engineering Mathematics - Business Mathematics By the start of the fourth semester, students must decide on one of these courses of study, through which they can set priorities with regard to a later professional field. Areas of specialisation: The following applied subjects are available to choose from: - Electrical Engineering - Computer Science - Mechanics - Physics - Economics/Business.*
