Course Objective In the degree course in AI Engineering – Artificial Intelligence in Engineering, students acquire different competencies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and engineering. The students train on different case studies to assess whether AI approaches can help to solve technical problems. They learn how to develop and implement suitable industrial AI systems. With an interdisciplinary education in AI and engineering as well as computer science, students can be provided with comprehensive basic and specialist knowledge for the development and application of AI methods and AI technologies. The degree course is a cooperative study programme with four universities of applied sciences in Saxony-Anhalt (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Harz University of Applied Sciences, Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences and Merseburg University of Applied Sciences). The first four semesters take place at the University of Magdeburg. The students then focus on an area of specialisation at the respective university of applied sciences. Areas of specialisation Manufacturing, Production and Logistics (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg) Biomechanics and Smart Health Technologies (Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences) Mobile Systems and Telematics (Harz University of Applied Sciences) Agriculture and Technology (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences) Green Engineering (Merseburg University of Applied Sciences)
