Annotation
You will learn about the modelling and analysis of financial markets and financial instruments based on mathematics and economics. In the research-oriented Master's programme, you will apply mathematical methods to economic questions, e.g. in order to assess the opportunities and risks of securities, companies or currencies.
Admission requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a course in Economics (especially in the area of mathematical-financial economics) or Mathematics or Natural Sciences - With a period of study of at least six semesters (or three academic years) - With above-average grades - At least 32 ECTS points in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Stochastics and Numerics - At least 26 ECTS points in Statistics, Econometrics or Economics - Sufficient command of English (active and passive), demonstrated by a language test or a one-semester course in English If it is not possible to provide proof of the required academic credits at the time of application, successful applicants have the possibility of achieving these academic credits within the first year of the Master's degree course. In this case, enrolment for the Mathematical Financial Economics Master's degree programme is provisional.
