Annotation
Planning open spaces, protecting biodiversity, tackling climate change and developing liveable, sustainable landscapes: this is what landscape architecture and landscape planning are about. The degree course provides design, planning, conceptual and scientific knowledge. The focus is on study projects in which, in addition to design and planning skills, you also learn teamwork, time management and communicative skills. The range of topics ranges from gardens and parks as traditional places of action for landscape architects and public squares and green zones to more ecologically oriented planning tasks in agricultural landscapes and large protected areas such as biosphere reserves or nature parks. With the bachelor's degree, you can work in private planning offices, but also in specialist authorities, municipal administrations, other public bodies (e.g. large protection area administrations), companies and associations. Due to admissions restrictions, it is not possible to register for part-time studies in this degree course of study in accordance with Section 19 (2) of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG).
