Civil engineers are responsible for ensuring that impressive high-rise buildings and wide-ranging bridges become safe buildings. As structural engineers, they work hand in hand with architects in construction companies and authorities, where they are not only responsible for the timely, cost- and quality-oriented execution of construction projects, but also for the economic operation of buildings. Civil engineers are responsible for the planning, execution and operation of facilities for the protection of the environment.
