Target group
The course is aimed at graduates with a first professional degree in Degree programmes in the field of Slavic Studies, Southeast European Studies, Caucasology, History, Political Science or one that is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 credits and subject-related study at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.
Admission requirements
The degree course in Slavonic languages is divided into three course profiles, for which, in addition to an overall grade of at least “good”, different subject requirements must be met. a) "Slavonic Studies - East": at least 60 CP in the field of East Slavonic Studies, proficiency in Russian B1, proficiency in another Slavonic language A2 (at the latest by the beginning of the 3rd semester). b) "Slavonic Studies - South": at least 60 CP in the field of South Slavonic Studies or South Eastern European Studies, proficiency in Russian A2, proficiency in a southern Slavonic language B2. (c) "Cultural Studies of Eastern Europe": at least 60 CP in the field of Slavonic Studies, History, Political Science, Cultural Management or Caucasology, proficiency in Russian B1, proficiency in a second language (provided it is not Georgian) A2. The language proficiency in the course profiles b) and c) can be acquired by the beginning of the 3rd semester alongside the course of studies. Foreign students are required to provide evidence of German language proficiency at the level of a “German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Students” (DSH) (stage 2), a “Test of German as a Foreign Language” (TestDaF) (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
