Target group
The degree course is aimed at those with responsibility in education and those who work in or want to work in the education sector who have earned a first academic degree. The course is aimed in particular at graduates of the following: - educational sciences and gerontological degree courses - teaching qualification programmes, especially for vocational schools - non-educational and non-social science degree courses (e.g. languages, theology, art), who are interested in working in the relevant areas of adult education or senior education (e.g. in church-based adult education)
Annotation
The career-integrated Master's degree course qualifies graduates to work in the education of older people. It takes place on weekends (Friday/Saturday) in person and is supplemented by digital formats and flexible self-learning times. The degree entitles you to commence studies towards a doctorate. <br><br> It is the first Master's degree course in Germany to specialise in matters of geragogics (education for the elderly).
Admission requirements
The admission requirements for the course are a first academic degree and, as a rule, at least one year of relevant professional experience in the educational sector.

Tuition fee
The total tuition fees amount to EUR 6,400 (due in 3 instalments: 2200, 2200, 2000). These fees include the following: - Face-to-face seminars and e-learning phases - Counselling and support in all learning phases - Use of the information and learning platform of the university - Academic supervision of the Master's thesis
