Systems Engineering Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences
Master of Science
3 semesters
Overview and admission
Study Type
graduate
Admission semester
Summer and Winter Semester
Area of study
Systems Engineering
Focus
Basic principles and technical-physical backgrounds, System Theory and Modelling, Computer-supported Simulation Processes, Numerics and Visualisation
Target group
Graduatesstudents of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, natural sciences or similar courses of study
Annotation
Students are qualified to model complex systems and processes in both industrial practice and science. Methodological competencies of various scientific disciplines (Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) are included. The course is divided into three blocks: - Basic principles and technical-physical backgrounds - Systems theory and modelling - Computer-supported Simulation Processes, Numerics and Visualisation
Admission requirements
Required for admission to the master's course is a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or natural sciences. Since the master's degree course comprises 90 credits, graduates with bachelor''s degrees with fewer than 210 credits also have to make up defined modules ('learning agreements') so that they have 300 CPs by the end of the master''s course.
