Target group

Bachelor graduates whose degree must include the following skills: -\tLinear Algebra: Confident handling of -\tvector spaces (base, dimension, dual space, quotient space), -\tlinear maps (rank, eigenvalues, Jordan normal form, diagonalisability), -\tBilinear forms, Euclidean and unitary vector spaces. -\tAlgebra: Confident handling of -\tGroups, rings, modules and fields, -\tbasic proof techniques of algebra. -\tAnalysis: Confident handling of -\tLimits (of sequences, infinite series, functions, sequences of functions), -\tbasic topological concepts (compactness, continuity), -\tdifferentiability in one and several real variables -\tthe Lebesgue integration (measure theoretic fundamentals, convergence theorems, integral theorems), -\tordinary differential equations (solution theory, elementary solution methods), -\tbasic proof techniques of analysis. -\tStochastics: Confident handling of -\tdiscrete and continuous random variables, their distributions and parameters\; -\tconditional probabilities, stochastic independence, -\tthe central limit theorem and the law of large numbers, -\tbasic methods of inferential statistics. -\tNumerics: -\tBasic understanding of central problems of numerical analysis, -\tconfident handling of numerical methods, -\tability to assess the condition of a problem. In addition, the degree must include at least 40 credit points in a minor subject with technical, mathematical orientation.
