Admission requirements

- Primarily Qualifying: internship contract approved by the university for the internships during the semester (except for the practical semester) with a suitable child and youth welfare institution of your choice that educates and raises children (up to the age of 10) or - Career-integrated: Relevant vocational training and proof of work as an educator, curative education nurse or remedial teacher in groups with children aged up to 10 years ) in a child and youth welfare facility (art. 20 Paragraph 2 Sentence 4 Nds. SozHeilKindVO) or an equivalent activity based on an academic degree in the field of education and upbringing in childhood, social work or therapeutic education in a day care facility for children (Section 20 (2) sentence 3 of the Lower Saxony social/healing/childhood education ordinance (Nds. SozHeilKindVO) to the extent of at least 900 h before the study. For part-time students, a maximum of 50% of a full-time job is recommended, but not mandatory.
