Target group

The Master's degree course is aimed at graduates of a Bachelor's degree course in which sound mathematical knowledge has been acquired. It qualifies students to independently develop and apply complex models and procedures from the fields of statistics, data science and machine learning to solve relevant practical problems in business, nature and technology.

Admission requirements

1. Completed (at least six theoretical semesters / 180 ECTS), mathematically-oriented degree course with an overall grade of 2.5 or better from a German higher education institution or an equivalent academic degree.; 2. At least 30 credit points must be proven in mathematically-oriented modules, including the Bachelor's thesis. Applicants with an overall grade of 2.0 or better who demonstrate at least 45 credits in mathematically-oriented modules, including the Bachelor's thesis, are admitted directly. All other applicants are required to provide proof of aptitude as part of an aptitude procedure. 3. If applicable, aptitude procedure: Admission interview
