Annotation
Music therapy as a profession can be found in health care, pedagogy, therapeutic education, social and cultural work. The music therapy course teaches the targeted use of music and musical interaction in various therapeutic settings. The aim of the degree is to train music therapists with artistic, professional and scientific competence who are able to independently familiarise themselves with a wide range of music therapy fields of work and who are able to act responsibly and reflectively in a therapeutic manner.
Admission requirements
The course at MSH Medical School Hamburg is not subject to admission restrictions. Performance, talent, motivation and discipline count more than the grade point average on the certificate. The admission requirements at a glance: - General higher education entrance qualification, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for higher education at a university of applied sciences according to Art. 37 HmbHG or - higher education entrance qualification for employed persons according to Art. 38 HmbHG via entrance examination (according to the entrance examination regulations) - Ideally a four-week preliminary internship in a social and health care institution recognised by the MSH - Determination of artistic aptitude in an individual admission procedure, which includes both an artistic-practical part and an interview part.
Tuition fee
A one-time registration fee of EUR 100 is charged.
