Annotation
The Bachelor's degree course in Social Work at the MSB Medical School Berlin is an academically-based, practice-oriented degree course structured around system theory, which leads to a first professionally qualifying Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree after a standard period of study of six semesters. One of the main focuses of the Bachelor's degree is the combination of extensive pedagogical basics with psychological, sociological, medical, legal and ethical contents. This enables specific preparation for the various fields of work, an individual approach to the specific issues in each case and a qualified preventive orientation of the offers. In addition, students receive an overview of social work methods and basic knowledge of counselling, whereby various methods are critically reflected and tested in order to enable targeted and individual support.
