It is recommended to commence studies in the winter semester. The University Mainz offers the Bachelor's degree course starting in the fifth subject-related semester or the Master of Education exclusively for Teaching Qualification (Grammar Schools). The teaching subject French / Lettres modernes can only be studied in combination with the subjects German / Allemand, English / Anglais, Philosophy, History Histoire or Geography / Géographie in the German - French course (see also https: //www.studium.uni-mainz .com / international-masterstudiengaenge /). Prospective students can familiarise themselves with the subject during a taster day (www.studium.uni-mainz.de/schnuppertage).
