The degree course builds consecutively on a first professionally qualifying higher education degree in the field of Electrical and Information Engineering and is aimed especially at graduates with a specialisation in Automation Engineering, Electrical Energy Engineering, Information and Communications Engineering, and Technical Computer Science, as well as at industrial engineers and graduates in the field of Energy-Efficient Systems and other engineering science with a strong technical focus in the field of Electrical and Information Engineering.

Admission requirements

The most important requirements are as follows: For admission to the Master's degree course, proof is required of completion of a professional academic degree in an engineering degree course (210 ECTS) or a degree course with related content at a university of applied sciences, university or equivalent higher education institution\; the degree course must cover at least six theory semesters. The aptitude for the subject of each individual applicant is ascertained in an aptitude assessment procedure. The examination committee may admit applicants who prove to hold less than 210 ECTS but at least 180 ECTS on a conditional basis.
