Target group
Admission requirement for the master's program is a German or equivalent foreign qualification for a degree in German Philology, Romance Philology, English Philology, Slavic Philology, Dutch Philology, General and Comparative Literature or another neo-philology subject with a minimum of 60 credits, thereof at least 20 credits in the field of Literary Studies, or a cultural studies subject with a professional contribution from the field of Literary Studies of at least 20 credit points. Applicants who have completed their studies at a foreign university or comparable institution must be able to prove their knowledge of German. This can be demonstrated by passing the German Language Examination for University Entrance (DSH) or by demonstrating an equivalent level of proficiency according to the Regulations for the German Language Examination for University Entrance of Foreign Applicants at Freie Universität Berlin.
Admission requirements
The equivalence of proof provided is determined by the board of examiners in charge of the Master's programme of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities at the Free University of Berlin.
