Industrial Engineering combines technical and scientific aspects of engineering with the economic and legal fields of Economics.
Annotation
Industrial engineers can work across a broad professional field in many industries. There is high demand in industry, commerce and the service sector. The preferred areas of work are logistics, marketing, company management, controlling, research and consulting. Industrial engineers are also sought after in production, information management, human resource management and project management. Today's top position in logistics only emerged in the last five to seven years. Industrial engineers with an interdisciplinary background are excellently qualified to cover the broad spectrum of tasks within the supply chain of different industries. According to a study by the professional association VWI, over 90% of industrial engineers work in the private sector, two thirds of them in management positions – 15% are self-employed, 77% are employed in the private sector and 8% in the public sector.
Admission requirements
Admission requirements: - An academic degree in Engineering or a Bachelor's degree course or Diploma degree in a related subject with at least 180 ECTS credits. - The Engineering modules must account for at least 120 ECTS credits, while Economics modules must not exceed 30 ECTS credits.
