Through the close intermesh of theory and practice, you will implement the specialist knowledge and methods learned at the university during your degree course directly into practice in the area of auditing. Auditing is a highly attractive, crisis-proof and future-oriented professional field. Auditors act in the interest of the public and ensure trust in business and markets. By legal mandate, they have the task of ensuring that companies report on their business activities in a transparent and compliant manner. By working in a great variety of industries, from medium-sized companies to globally operating corporations, auditors act in a controlling or advisory role and are corporate experts who also have detailed expertise in the relevant, constantly changing rules and regulations in addition to ethical responsibility. The advancement of modern trends such as digitisation and sustainability plays a central role in auditing. Our dual Bachelor's degree course in Auditing best prepares you for these challenges. As a student of Auditing, you will acquire or deepen numerous interdisciplinary skills such as project management, team skills and the transfer of knowledge in addition to professional and practical know-how. The degree programme also has a special focus on current and socially relevant topics such as digitisation and sustainability. The study plan is oriented to the examination areas of the auditor's exam and accordingly covers the following main areas: - Financial Auditing - Tax Theory & Tax Law - Economic Law - General Business Administration and International Economics In this way, students are initially prepared for the content of the auditor’s exam, which can be taken after four years of professional activity following the course of study. After a successful dual degree course here, you can join your company full-time and either continue to prepare for the auditor's exam or get a taste of other interesting areas such as consulting, tax or financial services. If you would like to continue your studies after completing your Bachelor's degree course, you can, for example, join the Master of International Business Administration at Viadrina, which can also be studied part-time, i.e. while working. In addition, as part of so-called Audit Excellence, attractive career-integrated Master's degree programmes are also available; in these, you can already take parts of the auditor's examination.
