Target group
The degree course aims to equip leaders in the education system, and those who may wish to become leaders, with evidence-based knowledge of educational quality, practice-relevant key skills, and action-oriented competencies. The thematic focus is on education, school and teaching research, school management, teaching quality and quality development in schools, digital teaching and learning as well as human resources and staff management and communication. It is geared towards theory and practice, graduates can both reflect on their previous competencies and their experiential knowledge as well as immediately practice newly acquired competencies and critically examine them in the practical implementation of educational work.
Admission requirements
Please note that this is a career-integrated continuing education courses amounting to 60 ECTS credits. Requirements: • Completed degree course: first or further professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree with evidence of at least 240 ECTS in a Teaching Qualification or another subject qualifying graduates to work in an educational institution, in a related degree course with essentially the same content, or an equivalent degree with an overall grade of at least "good" (2.5) in each case • Professional experience: at least one year of professional experience in a school or educational institution with a content-related focus on the school sector (the traineeship for the state teaching qualification and preschool institutions or the higher education sector are not sufficient) • Language proficiency: English at the level of B2 CEFR is recommended (language of instruction and reading)
