Target group

In addition to Hebrew Philology and modern Hebrew literature, Jewish Studies encompass the history, religious and cultural history of Judaism in the Middle Ages and modern times. The focus is on the history, religious and cultural history of the Jews on the one hand in Central and Eastern Europe, and on the other hand in the Islamic world. Another focus is the history and culture of the Karaites in Central and Eastern Europe and the Karaite interpretation of the Bible.
