The Master’s is based on the Bachelor’s degree course and consists of the three core subjects of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry and one of the following compulsory elective subjects: analytical chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, synthetic chemistry, medical chemistry or theoretical chemistry. The combination of the three core subjects of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry with the optimal elective options in the compulsory elective subjects will open up excellent career prospects for Tübingen graduates. In chemistry, basic competencies are taught in various chemical and related disciplines. Numerous famous chemists have researched and taught at the University of Tübingen, including several Nobel laureates. Since 2009, the chemical institutes at the Morgenstelle have been housed in one of the most modern chemistry buildings in Europe.
