Annotation
The Degree course is aimed at individuals wishing to obtain a further qualification for social education or social work activities alongside their family and profession and obtain the first academic degree of Bachelor of Arts. The B.A. also opens up access to higher qualifications at universities or other certified courses of continuing education. The organisational forms of a distance learning course are supervised selflearning times, online sessions and attendance lectures. The latter involves around four seminar weeks a year. Learning groups can also meet regionally. The course material is provided electronically on a learning platform.
Admission requirements
Technical college or university entrance qualification or intermediate school leaving certificate + completion of qualified recognised vocational training (at least 3 years) with a minimum grade of 2.5 Participation in an individual counselling interview At least 300 hours of voluntary work or relevant practical or professional experience (also in voluntary social service/ FSJ) in the field of social work Approval of the model and the campus agreement of the YMCA University of Applied Sciences
