Admission requirements

Admission to the Master's degree programme in Music Education takes place in a two-stage procedure. The course is aimed at students with a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in social sciences or humanities; or in an artistic degree course, a state examination for a teaching qualification (preferably in the subject of Music) or a first professionally qualifying academic degree in another degree course who want to engage in music practice and want to train in music education as an academic discipline. Written applications will be accepted from 1 February to 1 June for the following winter semester. The degree certificate does not have to be available by the application deadline, but proof must be provided that at least 150 credit points have already been earned and that the degree will be available at the beginning of the winter semester.
