Annotation

In the interdisciplinary and practice-oriented Master's degree Planning of Sustainable Buildings, Bachelor's graduates from building-related disciplines learn and experience the joint development, planning and operation of sustainable buildings in a practice-oriented manner. On the one hand, the content of the course is based on the tried and tested content of civil engineering as taught within the framework of the courses of study in architecture, building services engineering, civil engineering or comparable construction or building-oriented subjects. On the other hand, these teaching contents are specifically expanded, for example by ecological topics as well as topics of sustainable construction and issues or instructions for the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as a planning tool. The focus is on project study and teamwork: The students work as interdisciplinary teams to develop suitable building designs, applying their individually acquired specialised knowledge and jointly solving the requirements of use and functionality as well as ecology and economy. The innovative Master's degree course Planning of Sustainable Buildings combines interdisciplinary building and planning-specific knowledge from the degree courses architecture, civil engineering, building and energy technology as well as facility management and landscape architecture and introduces students to the integral planning of sustainable buildings.
