The postgraduate degree course in Art Therapy opens up a new professional field for artists as an extension of their artistic expertise and in the transfer to therapeutic application. It teaches artistic and therapeutic skills to support people through development and change processes using artistic media. Comprehensive psychological and medical knowledge, such as psychological diagnostics, psychodynamics, various art therapy methods, artistic, body-related and qualitative research perspectives and philosophical aspects of therapy form the basis for linking the arts with their therapeutic application. Students are encouraged to develop their own position in the field of art therapy through a variety of art therapy approaches with the respective theoretical, practical and self-experience-oriented teaching content.
