Target group
Graduates with a grade of at least 'satisfactory' (3.0) who have completed the BA course 'Archaeological Sciences' or a comparable degree at another German or international university.
Annotation
The aim of the Master's degree programme Prehistoric Archaeology / Geoarchaeology is to acquire in-depth knowledge in various areas of prehistoric archaeology as well as scientific methods and subject-specific working methods. In this course of study, the early stages of human history are studied, primarily on the basis of material relics. The field of prehistoric archaeology / geoarchaeology covers epochs and spaces whose history is primarily revealed through archaeological finds. Including the Master's thesis, a total of six modules must be completed in the degree programme Prehistoric Archaeology / Geoarchaeology, of which modules 3 to 5 are thematic or focal training units. From this, students can complete two modules of their choice. The following modules are offered: - Key Area I: Prehistoric economic and social structures - Key area II: Prehistoric settlements - Specialisation III: Cult and religion in prehistoric times
