There is a 5-semester and a 6-semester version of the degree course, depending on previous knowledge.
Admission requirements
The six-semester course can be commenced if a Bachelor's or Diplom degree course in Engineering with a minimum of 180 ECTS points and specialisation in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Facility Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable specialisation or a degree course in Physics with an overall grade of at least 2.5 (or an overall grade of at least 2.7 and a final thesis with a grade better than 2.0) has been successfully completed. The five-semester course can be commenced if, in addition to the requirements stated in the first paragraph, a Bachelor's or Diplom degree worth 210 ECTS points has been completed.
