The degree course was developed closely with Department 3.2 "Training, Continuing Education and Examination Office/Parish Service" of the Evangelical State Church in Württemberg and aims accordingly to be accepted into the traineeship for the parish. Interested parties should make an appointment for an information interview with the Dean's Office before applying for the degree course.
Admission requirements
The admission procedure for the subject-related suitability for this degree course consists of a biblical examination based on the guidelines for the examination in biblical studies (Biblicum) as amended from 2011, the writing of an essay based on a given topic and a qualification confirmation interview involving the Dean of Studies, another representative or another representative of the Faculty and a representative or a representative of the Education Department of the Protestant Upper Church Council. What requirements have to be fulfilled? - a professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree (at least Bachelor's degree) with 180 CP, in which no more than 90 CP may be acquired in the field of Protestant or Catholic theology;; - professional experience of at least five years in a profession not related to this degree course (Examination Regulations VI (PO VI)),; - Member of a member church of the EKD or a church belonging to the WCC.
