Target group
The offer is aimed at those interested in the Bachelor’s courses in Biology or Biochemistry as well as comparable courses in the subject group Life Sciences. These can be, for example: Biotechnology, Agricultural Sciences, Food Sciences, Health Sciences, Ecotrophology, Bioanalytics, Nutritional Sciences, Food Chemistry. After a corresponding aptitude test, graduates with interdisciplinary Bachelor's degrees with a substantial Life Science component can also be admitted. Good scientific previous education is essential because of the special nature of food as mentioned above. Without the basics of Biology and Biochemistry, their composition and properties can hardly be understood. The additional acquisition of appropriate knowledge can be made a requirement.
Admission requirements
Applicants who have not acquired their university entrance qualification in German must submit evidence of German language proficiency (at least A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Applicants who have not obtained their higher education entrance qualification or their first degree in the English language must provide evidence of English language proficiency (at least C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Applicants from outside the EU who have obtained their degree abroad must upload the application documents via uni-assist and go through a fee-based examination procedure (pre-screening documentation, VPD).
