Annotation

The universities of Bayreuth and Würzburg use the innovative elite programme “MINT Teaching Qualification PLUS” to promote talented young students with respect to teaching qualification. As part of the Elite Network Bavaria, gifted and high-performing students of biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics will be given educational and development opportunities for teaching at grammar schools that go beyond the offers of regular teacher training programmes. They can thus enhance their teaching qualification courses through a variety of supplementary courses. Students can acquire more advanced subject-specific skills in MINT. They can choose from a wide range of courses from existing subject-specific Master’s degree courses at both universities. But as part of the elite programme and its special teaching modes, they can also pursue current research areas in their subjects and subject-specific didactics. This is characterised by the interdisciplinary exchange and integration into international research and much flexibility for personal specialisation. For subject-specific counselling, see: https://www.uni-wuerzburg.de/studium/zsb/info/fsb/
