Admission requirements
Civil servants of the German federal government can be admitted to the Master's degree course; they complete the course as part of a promotion process in the higher non-technical civil service. Employees of the Federal Administration who are not in a promotion process can also be granted admission to the degree course. Admission of those not being promoted is determined by the HS Bund (Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences) using a selection procedure. A prerequisite for admission to the selection procedure is that applicants have the professional qualification for the non-technical higher levels of the administrative civil service of the German federal government as well as a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree. In addition, you are required to have successfully completed the probationary period in accordance with civil service career track regulations, following the probationary period you are required to have been working for at least four years, and on expiry of the application deadline, not yet have turned 58 years of age.
