Target group

The aim of the integrated courses Mainz-Dijon is the acquisition of two degrees, both nationally recognised after successful completion of a relevant degree course. The German university awards the Master of Arts (MA)\; the French University of the Master Recherche (Master's in Research).In addition to the binational specialist training in two educational systems, the acquisition of intercultural competencies is an important component of the course. Compared to regular courses of study, the integrated courses not only offer a double degree, but also educate students for the international labour market without extending the time they spend studying.

Annotation

Commencement of studies in winter semester recommended. If the Bachelor degree certificate is not available by the application deadline, but at least 135 credit points can be demonstrated: Submit a certificate of study and examinations and the average grade achieved so far. (This certificate must be issued by the relevant higher education institution, original or officially authenticated copy). After enrolment, the diploma must be submitted. If the degree was obtained abroad: officially authenticated copy of a certificate of recognition (responsible: Student Service - Admission International).

Admission requirements

Evidence of French language proficiency obtained through five years of school education completed with a grade of at least "sufficient" or 5 points, or through a certificate of advanced French language proficiency at the level of the Common European Framework of Reference B2 (language test or DELF B2). Evidence of French language proficiency can also be provided by submitting a higher education entrance qualification completed at a French-speaking school or an Abi-Bac. Evidence of a Bachelor's degree in American Studies or another anglophone field or an equivalent degree obtained from a university in Germany or abroad. Students are required to have very good proficiency in English (level C1 of the European Framework of Reference). In the course American Studies / Études anglophones, evidence of German language proficiency is not required.
