Annotation
The German language, literature and culture learns from a completely new perspective who decides on the Master's degree programme "German Studies with a binational option". The University of Kassel cooperates here with the Hungarian University of Szeged. What's special: The students deal with Germanistic research in an international environment. The focus is on dealing with questions of cultural studies, the consideration of language and literature in the European context and the interlinking of national and foreign German studies. Students of German Studies thus gain an extraordinary experience abroad that expands their horizons. Because in the seminars with the Hungarian fellow students and professors, questions arise that might not even arise at German universities. The Master's in German Studies with a binational option offers students a unique opportunity to look beyond the national boundaries. You acquire comprehensive interdisciplinary and intercultural skills. In the degree course, linguistic and literary content and research traditions are juxtaposed and reflected upon in mutual dialogue. Austrian Literature and Culture are one of the focal points in Szeged. The Master's degree programme is laid out over four semesters and is completed with a double degree course (one certificate from each university). Part-time study is quite possible due to the course of study in this degree course. Upon request, you can register for part-time studies in accordance with Section 19 (2) Hesse Higher Education Act (HessHG). The specific provisions for part-time studies will then apply. Counselling by the subject-specific student advice service is recommended.
