Annotation
Study discipline Plastics Engineering Materials engineering with high performance materials and hybrids, materials testing, damage analysis, rheology, tool technology, simulation technology, test methods, interdisciplinary subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, statistics, quality control and business administration. Product Development/Design Product design, construction systems under consideration of modern quality assurance measures and business administration aspects, constructive design, transmission technology, higher technical mechanics, fluid engineering, measurement and control engineering, CAD methods, personnel leadership and personnel management, creativity/brainstorming, interdisciplinary subjects such as mathematics, physics, electrical and electronic engineering, materials science and CAD. Metal Working Materials studies with regard to the structure of the matter and the materials, materials engineering of steel and NE metals, materials testing, metal working, process engineering, material compounds, interdisciplinary subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, statistics and quality control. Production (only at the Meschede location) In addition to deepening the scientific and engineering foundations, the field of study of Production also provides subject-specific content for the area of production and manufacturing. The three specialisation points 'Modern Production Technology', 'Production Automation and Networking' and 'Production Organisation and Planning' offer practical, application-related knowledge of what is required of companies in the modern industrial environment in the age of Industry 4.0.
Admission requirements
The course can be started if a Bachelor's or Diplom degree course has been successfully completed in a technically oriented subject with a total grade of at least 2.7. The Mechanical Engineering degree courses at the Iserlohn location are particularly suitable as an entry requirement.
