Target group

Futurologists generate orientation knowledge and promote thinking in terms of future alternatives. Possible, probable and desirable – or avoidable – development paths become visible and organisable in their respective conditions through scientific futurology. The continuing education Master's degree programme in futurology trains specialists who systematically deal with ideas about the future and develop solutions for the challenges of the future.

Annotation

This degree programme provides the necessary skills for the scientific examination of the future: • Students learn numerous scientific methods in order to be able to conduct well-founded future studies (Computational Social Research, Creative Methods, Participatory Methods, Complex Analysis Methods, Methodologies of Qualitative Social Research) • Students learn how to accompany transformation and innovation processes in a critically reflective and scientific manner (theoretical classification, addressee-specific communication, critical evaluation) With block seminars, hybrid courses and intensive personal study support, the degree programme supports students in combining their studies with other commitments.
