Target group
The degree course prepares students for employment in public and private organisations and institutions in the area of basic research, conceptualisation and design, development, organisation, implementation and evaluation of multimedia, Internet-based education processes and media communication processes.
Annotation
A computer with Internet access is required for the course. Basic knowledge of the English language, at least a relevant reading competence, is necessary for a successful course of study.
Admission requirements
a) Admission to the degree course requires the completion of an academic degree of at least 6 semesters (Bachelor's degree, Diploma degree, Magister degree, state examination) or a comparable foreign academic degree, which includes at least 60 ECTS in Educational Science/Education and of which 15 ECTS are attributed to empirical research methods. b) If a degree does not fully meet the requirements of (a), missing prior knowledge can be obtained in basic modules of the Bachelor's degree course in Educational Science as part of the academic studies of the open university in Hagen to the extent required in each case. The following basic modules are offered: - Module 1A Introduction to Educational Science - Module 1B Education and Society - Module 2A1 Empirical Educational Research – Quantitative Methods c) Applicants with an academic degree in Social Education are admitted.
