Annotation

The four-semester Master's degree programme in Educational Science enables you to pursue both research-oriented and career-oriented studies that deal with questions of upbringing and education, teaching and learning, counselling and organisation. Right at the beginning of your course of studies, you will decide on a major field of study (either Special Education or Extracurricular Youth and Adult Education) according to your interests and professional profile, and supplement this with practical professional skills which you will acquire in the course of a systematically prepared internship. While you theoretically deepen your empirical knowledge in the module Research Methods and Evaluation, you have the opportunity to carry out your own small research projects in research workshops. Modules from other subjects and exchange programmes with foreign universities ensure the interdisciplinary and international orientation of the programme. Through the choice of basic and in-depth modules specific to the fields of activity, the programme enables students to set thematic priorities in special education and adult education/out-of-school youth education as well as through corresponding advanced modules in the areas of counselling, presentation and supervision as well as future design and innovation in organised systems.
