Annotation
In the BA Social Work & Diaconia (career integrated), one can choose between the five specialisations "Childhood, Youth and Family", "Migration and Flight", "Disability and Participation”, “Social Space Orientation”, as "Religion-Sensitive Social Work”. The degree course is aimed at professionals who want to become further qualified with the general academic degree in Social Work and the state recognition as Social Worker / Social Education Worker. In addition, there is the option of additionally obtaining the academic degree as a Deacon.
Admission requirements
In order to be admitted to the integrated BA degree course in “Social Work & Diakonia", the following conditions must be met: Higher education entrance qualification and performance of a professional activity in a professional field of social work while studying at least half the regular weekly working hours. In addition, one of the following criteria must be proven: a) Completed vocational training in a related social profession or b) completed (non-specialist) vocational training and at least two years' professional experience in a recognised field of social work. For persons according to a), it is possible to have 30 credits credited and thus shorten the degree course to six semesters.

Tuition fee
A participant contribution is required for the career-integrated BA degree course 'Social Work & Social Welfare Work'. This amounts to EUR 299 per month. A semester fee of approximately EUR 200 per semester is additionally incurred. This includes the HVV semester ticket, the hardship fund and the student union contribution. In addition, there is a one-off administrative fee of EUR 150 on initial registration for your degree course.
