Annotation
The Bachelor's degree in Education and Teaching is aimed at students interested in a career in teaching at primary schools OR intermediate schools and German lower secondary schools. The Bachelor's degree course qualifies students to enter a profession. Professional qualification, particularly for activities within the professional fields of education associated with school and non-school education in the pre-school, primary and secondary I sectors, is based on the acquisition of well-founded academic skills related to Protestant Religion, the respective combination subject and to Educational Sciences. The course of study is divided into two teaching subjects, whereby in the case of the later career goal of TEACHING AT PRIMARY SCHOOLS, Protestant Religion must be studied, alongside English, German or Mathematics. With the career goal of TEACHING AT INTERMEDIATE SCHOOLS AND GERMAN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS, Protestant Religion may instead also be combined with Art, Music or Physics\; In the case of the career goal of GERMAN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS, also with French. The course of study with the core curriculum (KCL-BEU) also includes an inter-disciplinary professional qualification area that must be completed.
