Annotation
Psychology at Osnabrück is characterised by an empirical experimental focus with close links between foundations and application relevance with an emphasis also on the biological and neuroscientific conditions for behaviour and experience. The Bachelor's degree course includes extensive methodical training (methods in research, statistics and data analysis), education in fundamental areas, in diagnosis and application subjects (Occupational and Organisational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology). As, in the Bachelor's degree, theoretical foundations in particular are taught, practical or project-related content and teaching forms are only used to a smaller extent; main content is the empirical-experimental and the career-orientated work placement and the Bachelor's dissertation in the sixth semester. The Bachelor's degree qualifies students to enter a profession and for admission to a subject-related Master's course, for example, the Master's courses in Psychology with a focus on Cross-Cultural Psychology, Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology or, with appropriate course planning, fundamentally for the Master's degree in Cognitive Science at the university.
