The 'Orchestral Instruments' major (possible instrumental majors: Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, percussion, violin, viola, violoncello or double bass) can also be studied in the integrated German-French course with a binational degree (see https://www.dijon.uni-mainz.de/bachelor-of-music/). Prospective students can familiarise themselves with the subject during a taster day (www.studium.uni-mainz.de/schnuppertage).

Admission requirements
Higher education entrance qualification acc. Section 33 and Section 65 (1) or (2) HochSchG: General higher education entrance qualification or subject-related qualification to study Deviating from this, the qualified secondary level I (e.g. completion of secondary school) is sufficient if the applicant has passed the aptitude test in the chosen main artistic subject with at least a score of 13 and the overall aptitude test has been passed. Pass the aptitude test (see https://www.musik.uni-mainz.de/studium/bewerbung/), Proof of sufficient German language skills (level DSH-1-GERR or equivalent) must be provided for applicants who have not obtained their higher education entrance qualification at a German-speaking institution or an academic degree in a German-language degree course. If the certification proof is not presented by the deadline, the admission will be cancelled.
