Whoever wants to become an architect must not only know how to design and construct rooms and buildings. The profession is far more complex: Social, economic and environmental factors must be taken into account when it comes to building. At the University of Kassel, the study of architecture is therefore interdisciplinary from the outset. Three degree courses are grouped into one faculty: Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Planning. The insight of this nationwide unique approach: Only those who acquire and combine competencies from all three disciplines can create sustainable architecture that is environmentally and resource-friendly, economically efficient and socially responsible. Due to admissions restrictions, it is not possible to register for part-time studies in this degree course of study in accordance with Section 19 (2) of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG).
